ATLAS TREKKING TOUR FULL TREK ITINERARY:
DAY 1: MARRAKECH -
This Atlas trek from Marrakech starts after hotel pick up and Desert Sans Frontieres's driver will take you towards Atlas Mountains. We reach imlil, from here we pass through walnut and cherry orchids making our way up the Mizane valley, passing through the village of Aremd, We continue east, crossing the flood plains our route takes us along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. We eventually come to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims. From here the trail continues to climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the snow line and the Toubkal Refuge (3206m).
DAY 2: TREK TO THE SUMMIT OF JEBEL TOUBKAL -
Today we wake up to escape from the full power of the Sun. Breakfast is served around 5:00 am. We will begin the ascent climb at 5:30am. In the middle of our climb we will stop for a short break with some refreshments – water, oranges and nuts. After walking uphill for some 3-
